I have been hearing so many raves on this Japanese steak house at Pasay Road. They say that their food is just mouth-watering and the steak is to die for.... ultimately! Ok fine sige sabi nila eh... and so gladzalwayshappy scoped on waz happenin in this resto... after blog-hoppin' and chismaxin with peeps, I finally found out its name and exact location... NIHONBASHI!! LOCATION: FORMER RACKS BESIDE SAN LO VILLAGE. In fairness, not that far, puwede na deebuh??
To kill the curiousity, Carmela and I decided to go to Nihonbashi for lunch last Saturday to see the place and try their food. We agreed to meet up there and order away once we're seated. As I entered the place, I noticed that there were so many (as in ang dammeh!) Japanese peeps. You know what they say, pag maraming Hapon sa Jap resto, masarap! Tamang-tama, gutom narin ako! Hahahahahaa!! The pre-moment... ordering food. When we were browsing at the menu, I pointed out the much-talked-about Wagyu beef and I almost fell from my chair and exclaimed "pow***g inuh" when I saw the price (hehehehe won't tell... find out for yourself nalang... hehehee!). But then Carmela said "hey Glads, live the life, let's get the steak! Anyway we came all the way to this place..." Then I replied "Hehehehe ayos ka'rin noh... parang ang layo ng dinayo natin we're only in Makati...Hehehehe!" In the end of the pre-moment, both of us ordered the Japanese Wagyu Rib-Eye Steak.
After the girl talk, QLC sessions and okrayan galore the moment finally arrived.... OUR FOOD!! As the waitress placed our food in front of us, the aroma was just gastronomic, lalo akong nagutom!! The food setting was in a teppanyaki way, with mixed vegetables on the side and variants of sauce were also served. (the yellow one was the best!! yummmm).
Looks can be deceiving... you would think na eto lang? But once you start eating it.... Hhhaayy wow... sarap!
Wala nang keme-keme, lamon galore na kami!! Howwmahgosh it was so good!! The beef was so soft and tender, it felt like it was going to melt in my mouth. It was much better than the beef cooked using the pressure cooker... Ang sarap! The mixed vegetables were sauted in butter hence... terrifico! Even the steak fat was so good, I ate it like candy! I even took Carmela's steak fat to savor the taste. So yeah, major babbooiizz mode talaga!
It was definitely a good lunch for both of us. We never thought that we would feel so boondat! Although the price was so panlaglag-mula-sa-upuan, we agreed not to come back soon... give it 8 to 10 months... Hehehehehe! And since we were babbooiiizz mode, we started drinking a lot of pineapple juice and milk... (you know the drill when we drink high-concentrated juice and milk...Hehehehe!).
We realized that life is short and it's good to live the moment, hence eat really good food. From here, we can say that we didn't miss out what the metropolis is offering and would be one of those people who can rave about these things. But if we do this like every week or even every day... ah kalokohan na yan deebuh??
