2008 Recap

2008 was so different from 2007. But it was just great... As in pure awesomeness!

Here's a recap of my 2008. Happy 2009 to all!

  1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before? Teaching
  2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? This time I have done my new years’ resolution.
  3. Did anyone close to you give birth? No
  4. Did anyone close to you die? No
  5. What countries did you visit? Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore
  6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008? More stamps in my passport... Hahahaha!
  7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? October 25-27 and October 29. It opened my mind that life is great.... Life has endless possibilities!
  8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Being brave (as in I totally kicked ass); learned how to cook and bake and loving it every minute
  9. What was your biggest failure? I dunno if it’s considered a failure
  10. Did you suffer illness or injury? No thank heavens!
  11. What was the best thing you bought? Point-and-shoot cameo, Sony Vaio laptop
  12. Whose behavior merited celebration? My mom
  13. Whose behaviour appalled you and made you depressed? None
  14. Where did most of your money go? 2-month Hiatus and House Child Status
  15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Travelling to Singapore and watching F1 with my dad; My 3rd Job in the corporate world; My teaching job, it is a way to do a Pay-It-Forward stuff to the youth
  16. What song will always remind you of 2008? Feel So Free by Ivy
  17. Compared to this time last year, are you: i. happier or sadder? HAPPIER ii. thinner or fatter? THINNER (yeba yeba uli!!) iii. richer or poorer? POORER (gotta have more moolah!)
  18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Travel more. Go to the cinema by myself. Watch plays.
  19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Spontaneous shopping... once again.
  20. How will you be spending Christmas? As always, with family and will be cooking for them on New Year’s Eve.
  21. Did you fall in love in 2008? Hmmm I dunno.... Hahahaha!
  22. How many one-night stands? None
  23. What was your favourite TV program? The View, Barefoot Contessa, Iron Chef, How I Met Your Mother, Everyday Italian (yeah mejo housewife noh?) Totally Spies, Hannah Montana, The Wizards of Waverly Place, (blame it on the 2-month hiatus, I started loving Disney Channel), Project Runway Philippines (in fairness it was a good show, too bad I didn’t get to see the last episode).
  24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? None
  25. What was the best book you read? The Girls from Riyadh
  26. What was your greatest musical discovery? Trashy Danish tracks. It’s shitty but totally funny. Drove the kids entertainingly crazy!
  27. What did you want and get? Point and shoot cameo
  28. What did you want and not get? Car....
  29. Favorite film of this year? FILMS: Baler and Mamma Mia
  30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? Bente-Siete (27). A quiet birthday celebration with: (1) VOA Ass-Kissers; (2) Parents; (3) With the Racletteer’s Society. And it all happened in one day.
  31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Waking up in the morning and embracing the sunshine.
  32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008? Dress, boho tops, jeans, flip-flops, platforms, lots and lots of big headbands
  33. What kept you sane? My parents, friends, the net, prayers
  34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Hugh Jackman and that guy from Twilight! Ack!
  35. What political issue stirred you the most? GMA Joc-Joc issue.... eto nanaman!
  36. Who did you miss? Friends who are settled outside the Philippines
  37. Who was the best new person you met? Hmmmm....... Hehehe! If people, my C&B team in my new job. =)
  38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008. Life is full of endless possibilities. Goodness still prevails. Anyone can be brave, you just have to step up and do it. Embrace the sunshine each day of our lives!
