Gladzalwayshappy and the Chocolate Hills in Bohol
It is different when Chocolate Hills was discussed in our Araling Panlipunan class versus seeing the actual brown (or rather brownish green) kisses lying around Bohol. I find it really magnificent. It's just fascinating how God created such wonder of nature. I read some stuff how the hills were formed. They say it was from some tectonic movements. Others say it's from a volcanic eruption from somewhere.... or it was formed from sea corals. There's even a legend about it, wherein "two giants hurled rocks, boulders, and sand at each other. The fighting lasted for days, and exhausted the two giants. In their exhaustion, they forgot about their feud and became friends, but when they left they forgot to clean up the mess they had made during their battle, hence the Chocolate Hills". Hmmm I dunno... You guys judge about it. Hehehe! I do hope that the Chocolate Hills will be part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.

During Summer season, due to the scourging sun, the hills are usually brown and dry. But because it's been raining in Bohol lately, they're brownish green. But 'tis okay, what matters most was that we get to see these hills.
Next... The Tarsiers... The smallest primate in the world. I found them cute and adorable but Dons got a little bit freaked out because their tails are like rats or something. They were asleep when we saw them. As they opened their eyes, whoa they're huge!

Big big eyes!
The Loboc River luncheon cruise was a unique experience. During the cruise, I realized that the river's like a smaller version of the Amazon River. This is because this body of water is surrounded by trees and different plants. I just loved the singing of the Loboc River choir kids. They were at their performance level!
Ahoy there!
Lovely! Donna said she can actually relate to the river... or she's like the river... Basta may ganung factor! Haha!

Ala Indiana Jones and the river
Scared of heights? I wasn't. After the Loboc luncheon cruise we crossed the hanging bridge made out of bamboos. It was pretty thrilling actually, I had fun.
I didn't care if I was at the middle of the bridge... in the name of a good photo, I wanted a good shot... Hahahaha!
Who would've thought one of the oldest church in the Philippines is actually in Bohol? We went to Baclayon Church. I found the church so colorful and it's fascinating that this big church was made out of sea corals, then they used egg whites to glue it up.
Doncha just love the colorful ceiling!
I like the turnout of the moss at the structure, then combined with the sunlight.... Wow!

If I go back to Bohol, I would like to stay at the Bohol Bee Farm. Bohol Bee Farm is a hotel/restaurant-that-serves-organic-food/store-that-sells-organic-treats. This place reminds me of Papelmerotti and Tagaytay's Bag of Beans combined. It has a homey feeling, it's not intimidating and everybody's welcome to have a nice relaxing time. Oh yeah, their local flavor organic ice cream served in cab-cab cones (cassava cones) are the best!
I feel that I'm in Neverland or something.... you know with the branches and the pathway.
This cabin/lodge/hotel room looks like a tree house.
Lotsa Bohol Bee Farm fans!
Would you look at that... An indoor swimming pool!It was actually an educational trip for me. I learned so many things about the place, its people and what it can offer to the world. Of course, the beach life was not missed.
Iced-cold beer in the beach... Halurvit!
Somewhere.... over the rainbow! Then after a few minutes it rained.
I love this picture. The girls and the waves at the background.

Beach munomoment.
Like I said, I just love Bohol just the way it is. I shall truly come back to Bohol and bring those peeps who haven't been there.
So yeah, until my next adventure.
