Okay let this be my moment to be a friggin'-ass love bug... hahaha!I tried and attempted to fall asleep, by reading a book or even counting sheeps (and I needed to sleep early so that my facial sauna and other high-maintenance facial choorva won't go into waste) but the remote control was calling me and so I had to open the TV. I got to watch the Lake House by Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock at HBO. Yep, it was definitely a nocturnal activity. As I felt my eyes were getting pretty heavy, I just couldn't help but finish the movie. Wow grabe... two words: I LOVE!! Yes it may be a little unrealistic that you meet someone from the past or from the future through a rusty mailbox but what amazed me was the exchange of letters between Alex and Katie. The words were rich with honesty, compassion and love. During the scenes wherein the letters where dictated, it was as if I was reading a romance novel. Grabe... kakaiyak!! My tears couldn't stop rolling onto my cheeks when Alex and Katie danced under the moonlight (and it was Paul McCartney's song "This Never Happened Before") and suddenly hugged & kissed, then busted!!! Kainezzz panira lang ng moment yung BF and feeling GF ni Alex dun... But the letters, how dear, let me just reiterate it... the letters... hhaaaayyy!! It is not pukingly mushy, it is in fact, romantic. I love the way each of them described the tree that Katie missed from the lake house and how Alex illustrated this nice apartment in Chicago and placed a vandal text towards Katie something something like "I wish you were here..." Oh yeah, and take note... the letters were handwritten. Hhhaaayyy... I just love the old-fashion way oh expressing your feelings toward someone through handwritten letters...
And it's set in Chicago!! Oh how I heart Chicago!!
Then after watching the movie (and afterwiping those tears... fuurccckkkk... I suddenly became a tearjerker... huhuhu!), I tried to pull-off a "Lake-House-letter-ala-mode." I wanted to figure out if I, the cynical me (hahaha!), can actually write something like that:

Where did this come from? I guess it's from reading Sweet Dreams and all the Nicolas Sparks that I read back in college. Such emotional chowchow but hey, I gotta affirm myself that I can write something like this, despite the fact that I'm cynical... well most of the time.. Hahahaha!! So what do you think? Can this be my alternative career? To become a screenplay of a sappy romantic movie?? Wahahahahaha!! Well whatevs... I gotta keep this letter... this might be handy in the future... Weheh!!
