It's been 4 years since I've watched a local fashion show that shows-off a lot of skin. You wanna know what I watched? It was the Cosmo Bachelorette's Party, which was held last 2004 at the Fort. I was with my cousin and it was certain that we did not have so much fun. It was so much packed with straight men (yeah surprisingly coz they knew that a lot of girls would be there in the event) and the federasyon society. But in fairness, we did make some friends while shrieking at the models and making okray to those girls who would do anything to see some flesh. Just to give you an example, there was this girl who climbed those sturdy metal ladder things (you know to be used for the lights and all) just to see half-naked men. I mean, hello that was quite OA. If that were Brad Pitt or Patrick "McDreamy" Dempsey, I would do that but it was just some model with pandesals. I said to myself that's gonna be the end of it. Sam Milby
Dingdong Dantes
I took a picture of Jake Cuenca, but it's too tabloidal. Okay fine, I guess I can describe it to you guys. He was strutting with a pair of low-rise khaki pants and a thong. And I took his back part, showing his ass. 'Nuff said.
But aside from the three hot dudes, the Bora gang and I didn't enjoy the show that much. The models and the artistas were okay. But the entire show was like "what in the world was dut?" As in the musical line-up was not aligned to one another and the mix of a song was just labo. For instance, an opera was played and they mixed it with trip-hop beats and after 5 minutes they played the narration of "The Creation." Another thing, they also played a melancholic but creepy-ass, some-dead-lady-singing music and models in ram horns were dancing, as if they were possessed and needed to be exorcised. It was just odd and weird.
I gotta affirm the shoes that were worn by the ladies, courtesy of Aldo (which btw is part of the Suyen Corporation). Those pumps, and gladiator sandals were exquisite. I was so enticed to stare & drool at the shoes, I forgot to take pictures of it. It made me think to go retail therapy at Aldo tomorrow. Hehehehe!
At the end of the show, Ben Chan strutted the runway, together with Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres. I asked myself "hey where's Juliana?" Maybe it's passed her bedtime or something. It lasted for one and a half hours.
To rate the show, from a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say it's a 5. If it weren't for the weird musical line-up (nakampooch who in the world was their DJ anyway), it would be okay.
