Three cheers for NAIA 3

Hep hep HOORAY!
Hep hep HOORAY!
Hep hep HOORAY!

It's been 11 years since the airport was constructed and went through so many crazy PIATCO-shit controversies, it finally opened two days ago.

From the time I started travelling back in the 90's, I couldn't help but be affected on the beautiful airports in different countries. For instance, O'Hare International Airport (biggest airport in the world) in Chicago's really huge but it was quite easy to get around despite its size. Heathrow Airport in London's (which by the way's one of the busiest airports in Europe) just rich in history and yet they manage to make every corner so hi-tech. That airport in Detroit.... whoa they got trains inside, if you wanna transfer from one gate to another. Airports in Asia are even swankier, especially Bangkok and Narita. Even the airport in Vietnam has gone world class (and I think that's because of that APEC thing held in that country last 2006).

After whichever destination, arrival in Manila was/is/has been.................eck I don't wanna elaborate.

As much as I want to rant anything and everything about our current airport, I don't want to sound like some snobby, stuck-up, matapobre bitch. What I can do right now is to rave that Terminal 3 has opened and we can proudly invite our global friends and enjoy the sights & sounds of the Philippines. After all, the airport is the gateway of a country. It's one of its first impression factors. And thank God (apologies if I sound quite redundant) that THEY OPENED TERMINAL 3!

Well even if it's open for domestic flights and will have international flights next year, at least movements have been made, which is much better than just having a "sittin' and waitin" airport until the walls falls off. Besides, time flies fast and next thing we know, we are using the snazzy airport to go into a destination anywhere in the world.

At the end of the day, we'll be so proud of our country. We have a nice airport, beautiful places to visit and our very own friendly hospitable smiles.

Since you don't wanna be the bitch, allow me. Hahaha. I hate the old airport! Sobrang bad trip kaya, and the hospitable smiles don't exist there. (This is based on my last trip.) I love my country, but that damn airport is something else.

And yes, I was so in awe of Heathrow! I think that was the first one I saw outside of Asia.
