Roskilde Festival

It's so nice to have worldly friends.

On my usual online whorage, I got to chat with this friend and raved about this website. He said that this event is like Woodstock, only it's not limited to rock music but it's also open to other genres. It's been a yearly event in Northern Europe for over 30 years.

When I started accessing the site, it was in Danish. Although I couldn't understand anything, I got enticed with the holga photos. Then he said that there's an English translation. Voila! I got to read the details of it.

Too bad it ended a few months ago. When I checked out the bands/artists line-up, whoa they were a lot!! As in A LOT!!! The bands and artists came from different parts of the world and what thrilled me was most of them are my favorite artists. To name a few, Babylove and The Van Dangos, Gnarles Barkley, Jay-Z, Judas Priest, Kate Nash, Chemical Brothers, Teitur, Goldfrapp, RADIOHEAD.... and lots lots more.

He also told me that there were over 20,000 volunteers that helped out in the event. Wow that must be one cool stint! Oh yeah, and I just have to say that they have an org chart and it's impressive. They've covered everything. Talk about total events management!

Time to save up and try to buy those tickets. But first, I gotta find someone or a bunch of music-crazed people to go with me.... PAGING TO MY MUSIC LOVAH FRIENDS... WANNA GO WITH ME TO NORTHERN EUROPE, PARTICULARLY IN DENMARK?? Scandinavia itowww!! Hahaha!
