Two days ago my friend and I were talking about emo songs and I asked him what is his favorite emo song. Then he said, in times to introspect about life and final decisions, he would listen to Placebo's "Centerfolds."

I was surprised that Placebo has such emo song. I mean I like listening to them and they're into trip-hop and electronica. So he sent me the mp3 and shared that it's actually a soundtrack of a movie called "Velvet Goldmine."

It's basically about the glitz and demise of a bisexual glam rock star, Brian Slade. Life was all about sex, drugs and rock 'n roll. It actually reminded me of Sienna Miller's "Factory Girl", those days when it's really all about SDRnR.

Starred by Jonathan Rhys Meyers (TV show "The Tudors"), Ewan McGregor, Christian Bale and Toni Collete.

As I listened to the song, 1 word: Melancholic. And as I watched the music video with the movie, IT REALLY CAUGHT MY ATTENTION.

Oh yeah I mentioned earlier that Brian Slade's (portrayed by Jonathan Rhys Meyers) bisexual right? Apparently, Slade made out with Curt Wild (portrayed by Ewan McGregor). Yeah so basically in the movie, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Ewan McGregor made out. It didn't look gross, like BBM. I guess one of them was wearing make-up so he looked like a girl. See the clip, and yeah, it's up to you to come up with a conclusion.

I don't remember it was shown here in Manila. I guess the content was an automatic taboo to the MTRCB.

Hhhmmm so the question is, may DVD kaya nito? The story's quite intriguing actually...
